Ray (played by Chris O’Dowd), who works at an amusement park, is obsessed with time travel and is fired for scaring young guests. His friend Peter (played by Dean Lennox Kelly) and amateur writer Toby (played by Marc Wootton) work as dinosaurs at the "Dinosaur Burger" with no prospects. The three spend their evenings at a bar to pass the time, when Ray suddenly meets a beautiful woman named Cassie (played by Anna Faris). Cassie claims to be from the future and is a technician responsible for finding time leaks. She is there to visit a celebrity because Ray will be the "Great Ray" in the future and will author a "Time Travel Handbook." Peter and Toby don't believe Ray has met a “future beauty” and think he is just making up a movie. Peter goes to the restroom and accidentally enters a time leak, only to find the bar filled with dead people, including himself. In a panic, Peter drags Ray and Toby into the leak, leading to a series of time-traveling adventures.
