Under a highway bridge on the outskirts of Tokyo, several ordinary houses stand, home to the most vibrant ordinary folk in the country, where trivial yet intriguing stories occur among them. The women’s association has a deficit in its funds, and the women chatter away, planning to investigate the cause. Little Mom, who serves as the accountant, just purchased a washing machine for her home, making her a prime suspect. When bored, the women gossip and discuss the affairs of others as if they can never stand to see anyone else doing well.
