Cha Xiaodao (played by Sun Li) is extremely intelligent but has a weak and timid personality. Mo Feili (played by Deng Chao) is just a thug with an arrogant and domineering personality. An accident brings the two together, and Mo Feili unexpectedly scams a hefty sum from Cha Xiaodao. With a lack of family affection, setbacks at work, and being bullied by villains, Cha Xiaodao feels dejected and inadvertently learns about a divine doctor named Zhe Ergen (played by Liang Chao), who specializes in various difficult ailments.
