In the world, many incredible and inexplicable things actually have reasons behind them because there exists a magical world composed of the five elements: "metal, wood, water, fire, and earth," where all kinds of wizards live. Kang Sengui (played by Huang Baiming) appears to be a university professor on the surface, but in reality, he is a water element wizard. One day, a fire element wizard named Bi Yewu (played by Wu Jing) wants to collect the five elemental magics to travel back in time and find Kang Sengui to seize his magical powers. After a battle, due to unforeseen circumstances, Kang Sengui's magic is transferred to his student Chen Meisi (played by Wu Qianyu). As Bi Yewu continuously challenges wizards of various elements, he only lacks the water elemental ability from Meisi and the metal energy. With the help of Ling Feng (played by Wu Zun), Meisi locates the metal element wizard Charlie (played by Song Ming) and they head to protect Charlie from Bi Yewu's attack. However, when they arrive, Bi Yewu suddenly appears on the stage where Charlie is performing, and a grand duel is about to unfold.
