Silvia (played by Penélope Cruz) is a seamstress at a panties factory in a small Spanish town. She is in love with the owner's son, José, and is pregnant with his child. Indecisive José vows to marry Silvia, but faces strong opposition from his mother. To separate them, José's mother hires a muscular panty model, Lu, to seduce Silvia, while she herself succumbs to Lu's youthful masculine charm.
