The respected Alexander (played by Jean Reno) has been a three-star Michelin chef for many years, but recently he has faced a series of crises. In an era where “molecular gastronomy” is all the rage and traditional cuisine is on the decline, the traditional dishes that Alexander insists on are likely to fail in the upcoming star rating assessment, and the restaurant's junior staff are eagerly awaiting the chance to fire him.
