Zhang Sanbo (played by Liang Xingbo), a Cantonese man, and Li Sibao (played by Liu Enjia), a southerner, rent the same apartment. Both run a western-style clothing store, and their competitive relationship often leads to conflicts over business issues. Their differences in regional habits frequently result in arguments in daily life. Zhang Sanbo has a beloved daughter named Lizhen (played by Bai Luming), but to his surprise, the daughter he raised with such effort falls for a man from another province named Wang Wen'an (played by Lei Zhen). Meanwhile, Li Sibao's daughter Cuihua (played by Ding Hao) also develops feelings for a Cantonese man, Mai Yonghui (played by Zhang Qing). The two former rivals, Zhang Sanbo and Li Sibao, gradually find common ground regarding their children. Later, both clothing stores face bankruptcy due to cash flow problems, and at this critical moment, Wang Wen'an and Mai Yonghui step in to help.
