FBI agent Malcolm Turner (Martin Lawrence) is smart and capable, often solving unusual cases, and his secret weapon in solving crimes is his exceptional disguise skills. No matter who it is, he is confident he can portray them perfectly. A new case comes to Malcolm where a bank robber in Georgia has made off with a large sum of money. He is tasked with capturing him, and the only clue is the robber’s girlfriend, Sherry (Nia Long). To get closer to Sherry, Malcolm uses his transformation skills to disguise himself as Sherry's long-lost aunt, a "big mama" weighing over 200 pounds. Malcolm’s skills are remarkable, and he successfully approaches Sherry after the disguise. However, after spending time together, Malcolm finds himself falling in love with Sherry, who may have been involved in hiding the stolen money, and to make matters worse, the real aunt shows up.
