Knock (Omar Sy) was once a conman, but later decided to turn over a new leaf and become a doctor. He moved to a wealthy resort near the Alps, taking over a retired physician's clinic. Knock hoped to make a fortune here; however, the local residents were all fit and healthy, with no illnesses. Facing this issue, Knock used his sincere smile and persuasive eloquence to begin exaggerating the existence of various diseases, making the healthy villagers believe they had serious ailments. He constantly advised them to return for regular check-ups. Soon, the clinic was crowded with patients displaying all sorts of symptoms. Knock thus became the center of attention as the new beloved doctor in the resort. While earning a handsome income, he also encountered a beautiful farmer girl, with both his career and love life flourishing. However, this sparked jealousy from the village priest. The priest angrily watched as his parishioners crowded outside the clinic instead of going to his church.
