Jiao Jiao (played by Tang Wei) moved to Macau at the age of 15, living a tumultuous life, and later became a casino public relations officer. Luo Daniu (played by Wu Xiubo) came to the United States in his early years and, after many struggles, has now become a somewhat famous real estate agent in California. With a successful career, he naturally excels in romance and is recognized as a confirmed bachelor. A book titled "84, Charing Cross Road" brings these two seemingly unrelated individuals together. They communicate through emails, and after various misunderstandings and twists, they eventually discover that they are soulmates. During this time, Jiao Jiao finds herself torn between Zheng Yi (played by Lu Yi), Mr. Deng (played by Wang Zhiwen), and a poet (played by Zu Feng), unsure of her path.
