A group of construction workers accidentally awakens a nine-lived cat demon sealed underground. That night, the cat demon rushes into the Fan Group building, leaving a trail of blood. Zhang Da Shao (played by Lau Chia Leung), a descendant of the Maoshan lineage, has fought against the cat demon for generations, sealing it every fifty years for four hundred years. Zhang Da Shao inherits the mission to seal the cat demon once more, but due to his terminal cancer, his time is limited... Sensing the cat demon's emergence, he sets out to hunt it down. Luo Jianming (played by 鄭浩南), a driver for the Fan Group, narrowly escapes disaster that night and becomes Zhang Da Shao's disciple for self-protection. The cat demon gains immense power by feeding on human blood and possesses the president of the Zheng Group and his assistant, Tina (played by 徐淑媛). Zhang and Luo are detained by Police Officer Hu (played by 王晶) on charges of harming others, and Zhang Da Shao has only one talisman arrow left to defeat the cat demon. The cat demon turns from defense to offense, causing a catastrophic loss to Zhang Da Shao's family.
