Penny (Rebel Wilson) has an exceptionally clever mind, but unfortunately is wide and overweight, which causes her to face repeated setbacks in her schemes. By chance, she encounters another con artist named Josephine (Anne Hathaway), who is fair as snow and smooth as satin; even Penny, who is attracted to women, can't help but glance at her twice. After a series of persistence, Josephine agrees to take Penny on as her apprentice.
