Tan Ximin (played by Andy Lau) is known in the martial arts world as "Heroic Saint," and he is now a private detective. One day, he and his assistant take on a priceless case to protect the millionaire Luo Zhi, but the task fails, and the next day, Luo Zhi is killed under mysterious circumstances. Tan Ximin suspects something is amiss, so he decides to guard Luo Zhi's wife, Mrs. Luo (played by Julie Lee). Mrs. Luo is shocked to learn that her husband left behind diamonds worth one billion yuan and had ties with the underworld, and she claims to have known nothing about it before. The underworld targets Mrs. Luo and demands she hand over the diamonds, but what they receive are all fake ones.
