Bert Farlander (John Krasinski) and Verona De Tessant (Maya Rudolph) are a loving couple expecting a child, which prompts them to find the best place to settle down and raise their future children. Their first thought is to go to Bert's parents, but they find out the older couple has decided to travel. They continue their journey through Arizona and Wisconsin, reconnecting with friends and family, and witnessing the struggles that every family faces. As they visit each location, their relationship deepens and they increasingly realize that they are each other's one true match.
