After betraying Shaolin, Mr. Han (played by Shih Kien) spends a fortune to buy a small island and turns it into his private kingdom. Mr. Han and his men manufacture and sell drugs on the island, forcing women into prostitution. The police want to bring him to justice but lack evidence. Shaolin disciple Li (played by Bruce Lee) has transcended the physical realm with his skills. He is tasked by his master and the government to participate in the martial arts competition hosted by Mr. Han every three years. The competition is the only chance to collect evidence on the isolated island. Additionally, Mr. Han's personal bodyguard, Aojada, who once killed Li's sister, is an enemy Li hates with a passion. The competition invitation has been sent out, and contestants gather from around the world, including Rube, who is deep in debt, and William, who bravely fights against injustice, to join Li on the island to settle the score. Li finds the government's informant on the island, Mei Ling, and with her help, he begins a fierce battle against various contestants and Mr. Han.
