One day, humans declared war on the increasingly numerous vampires and lycans. Both groups were heavily hunted and slaughtered, with humans gaining absolute superiority. Selene (played by Kate Beckinsale) and John also suffered in this catastrophe, and when she awoke again, she found herself imprisoned by an organization called the Antigen Research Facility, labeled as test subject #1.
