The battle between werewolves and vampires continues. While Michael (Scott Speedman) and Selene (Kate Beckinsale) attempt to stop this conflict with their limited powers, a new plot arises—the creation of a powerful hybrid race known as "the bloodline," formed from the merger of werewolves and vampires. Marcus (Tony Curran) is the second generation of this race. He kills his father, seizes the key and Selene's memories, and frees a pair of twin brothers, one a werewolf and the other a vampire, who have been imprisoned for a thousand years, in an attempt to unite the three races: werewolves, vampires, and humans.
