The movie "The Great Wall" tells the story of an ancient Chinese elite force that fights for humanity against the monstrous Taotie in a life-and-death battle on the world-famous Great Wall. European mercenary William (played by Matt Damon) and his companion Pero Tovar (played by Pedro Pascal) travel thousands of miles to China to steal gunpowder formulas, only to unexpectedly discover that the Great Wall was built to fend off the Taotie that descends to Earth once every 60 years. The interior of the Great Wall is heavily fortified, resembling a "land-based aircraft carrier," guarded for generations by the invisible elite army. Here, William witnesses the ferocity of the Taotie and the elite bravery of the invisible army, and he is moved by the trust and sacrifice among these warriors, ultimately joining the battle to protect humanity.
