Ah Hao (played by Zhang Zhilin) is a fresh graduate from the police academy, filled with endless dreams about the future. Little did he know that he was assigned by his superior to go undercover, infiltrating the black market of arms trafficking, and thus began his double life shrouded in darkness. Ah Hao has always hoped to end this life on the edge, and his boss (played by Su Zhiwei) promises that if he completes his mission, he can return to the police force. Ah Hao's boss is a man named Ah Dan (played by Wang Minduo), who has been entrenched in the underworld for many years, cunning and intelligent. However, Ah Hao eventually earns Ah Dan's trust and becomes his right-hand man. In a fierce shootout with the police, Ah Hao is shot and injured, and Ah Dan's arms group suffers a heavy blow. Afterwards, Ah Dan takes Ah Hao to Mongolia, hoping to undertake a big business deal there.
