"Pian Pian" Luo Zi Fu is obsessed with wine and women, abandoning his wife to linger in brothels, tricked out of his money by a beautiful woman without a smile, he attempts suicide by drowning but is saved by the fox spirit Pian Pian. Pian falls in love with Fu and gives birth to a son. However, Fu's nature is hard to change; he flirts with the ladies of the flower city, which leads to Pian's fierce reprimand. In shame and anger, he steals jewels at night and returns home with his son only to find that his wife has died in resentment. Fu wishes to reconcile with Pian, but she leaves him, undisturbed as still water, abandoning her unfaithful lover. "Lu Pan" Zhu Er Dan is mocked by his friends and sneaks into the Hall of Ten Kings to steal the Lu Pan statue, unexpectedly benefiting from misfortune, he exchanges his heart for another’s and becomes the top scholar. Dan is discontented and finds his wife's appearance mediocre, so Lu changes his wife’s head with that of the poetess Yun Lan. Dan is overjoyed but soon becomes jealous when he sees his wife flirting with friends, pleading with Lu to restore her true appearance, which Lu agrees to. Dan's friends seize the opportunity to ask Lu for help, and Lu, overwhelmed by their demands, uses magic to teach everyone a lesson. "He Hua San Niang Zi" A flower fairy named He Hua San Niang appears in a lotus pond beside the academy, stirring the desires of the seemingly righteous teachers and students. Among them, scholar Zong Xiang is infatuated with San Niang. His fellow student Song Sheng discovers that San Niang is a flower demon and invites a sorcerer to capture her. To save San Niang, Zong sacrifices his eyesight, prompting her sincere response as she gives up her eyes to help him regain sight. In the end, she transforms her body into a common girl to be with him.
