Inspector Lan Lang (played by Fang Zhongxin) from the Hong Kong police force risks his life to rescue his girlfriend (played by Meng Jiahui) who has been kidnapped by a triad during an investigation of a major crime, but he ends up being framed and is forced to resign from the police force. As a result, Lan opens a small restaurant by the sea, hoping to live a peaceful life. However, the triad does not let him go. Ten years later, a young man named Ah Xiao (played by Chen Yuchen) returns to Hong Kong from Australia to work at the seafood restaurant.
