An image of a modern rural woman who is daring, independent, and spirited. Although she ultimately divorces "Liu Wei" and raises three daughters by herself, she remains optimistic, always believing that there will be bread to eat and that life will get better. She taught herself how to project films and managed to retrieve the projector that had been taken back by the county to continue showing outdoor movies. This film is a tribute from Yang Yazhou to the centenary of Chinese cinema, as he hopes to tell the story of "the connection between ordinary people and movies" through "The Snowflake That Drifts." Like his previous films, he hopes that viewers will remember the main characters in this film.
