Legendary spy Tobin Foster (played by Denzel Washington) was once the CIA's most skilled operative and the biggest traitor in the agency's history. He sold numerous secret intelligence pieces to foreign agencies, causing immeasurable damage to the United States. The CIA sent out vast resources to track him down, but found nothing. After hiding for over a decade, Foster, being hunted, was forced to enter an embassy, thus resurfacing and returning to the public eye. Matt Weston (played by Ryan Reynolds), a rookie at the "safe house" in Cape Town, finds himself utterly bored. Foster is being delivered to his safe house by the CIA, and Weston is fully prepared to welcome this "VIP." However, upon arrival, a group of mercenaries descends from above, coming to assassinate Foster. After all the security personnel are killed, Weston must escape with Foster. During their time spent hiding, the two turn from enemies to allies. In the end, can Weston prove his worth? What fate awaits Foster?
