At the São Paulo Airshow, a state-of-the-art Mirage 2000 fighter jet mysteriously disappeared during a flight demonstration. Anthony (played by Benoît Magimel) and Captain Sébastien (played by Clovis Cornillac) were ordered to track the aircraft, and they eventually located it, only to find that the Mirage 2000 attacked them. In self-defense, Anthony shot it down. Subsequently, Anthony and Sébastien were dismissed for disobeying military orders. The French military approached them, recommending their participation in a secret fighter jet competition against the Americans. The winning side would receive a substantial arms contract, and Anthony and Sébastien could regain their positions as a result. Thus, the two accepted the mission, unaware that they would be confronted with the ruthless guns of terrorists.
