In the late 19th century, an extraordinary woman grew up in the water town of Shaoxing in Jiangnan. She was the daughter of Qiu Shounan, the former governor of Fujian, and her father's patriotism influenced her from a young age. In the years that followed, Qiu Jin consistently opposed feudal ethics, pursued gender equality, and harbored concerns for the nation and its people. Additionally, Qiu Jin (played by Huang Yi) was highly skilled in martial arts and well-versed in literature, but she felt powerless to change the state of China at the time.
