Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson) is like any ordinary boy, dreaming of one day becoming a superhero, but he brings this dream into reality. After purchasing a cheap green bodysuit online, Dave begins his solo crusade against crime. Although his first mission leaves him seriously injured, Dave is not one to give up easily. After recovering from his injuries, during an attempt to stop a fight, he is discovered and filmed by enthusiastic onlookers, leading to the exploits of the superhero "Kick-Ass" spreading throughout the city. Becoming a legendary superhero, Dave meets the superhero father-daughter duo "Big Daddy" (Nicolas Cage) and "Hit-Girl" (Chloë Moretz) during one of his missions.
