Cop Mike (played by Wu Zhenyu) and Ah Ren (played by Gu Tianle) are partners and good brothers; one is reclusive and taciturn, while the other is cynical and jaded, both unloved by their superiors. To capture the gang of robbers known as "Poison Dragon," they set up surveillance in the home of an elderly woman, Si Po (played by Roland). During this time, Mike, who grew up in an orphanage, meets pregnant Jennifer (played by Lin Meizhen), who was abandoned by her boyfriend, and expresses his willingness to be the child's father, while Ah Ren also meets the attractive girl Ah Yen (played by Zheng Xueer).
