Jeanne (played by Anne Parillaud) is a highly critical and strict female director who must have full control over every step of her film due to limited funds. Consequently, on set, Jeanne rules the entire crew like a tyrant, showing no mercy. However, despite her authoritarian behavior, Jeanne encounters unprecedented difficulties. She is filming a new movie, and one particular love scene is never satisfactory. The leading actors (Grégoire Colin & Roxane Mesquida) hate each other and cannot stand the sight of one another, let alone express any affectionate emotions. Jeanne feels helpless, as she has fallen in love with the male lead who, taking advantage of their relationship, becomes arrogant and indulgent, completely unafraid of Jeanne's authority.
