After hundreds of years of development, human civilization has evolved to a high degree and gradually extended its reach into the depths of the universe. However, with the rapid population growth, limited resources have been exhausted. By 2174, Earth is severely depleted of resources, and competition for resources has reached its peak. In search of a new haven for survival, humanity launched a spaceship called "Paradise" into space, beginning a long and unknown exploration of the universe. After a long period of deep sleep, crew members Paul (played by Ben Foster) and Captain Peyton (played by Dennis Quaid) wake up sequentially. For reasons unknown, they have completely forgotten the purpose and mission of their voyage. Paul and Peyton work together to inspect the spaceship and soon discover the bodies of their fellow crew members, whose deaths are horrific. Moreover, they seem to not be the only living beings aboard, as a mysterious entity still threatens their lives…
