The gang leader Hong Renjiu (played by Andy Lau) has achieved great success, but finds himself in a precarious position, with his subordinate Gao Lao (played by Eric Tsang) harboring ulterior motives. The only one he can truly trust seems to be his good brother Zuo Shou (played by Jacky Cheung), who has fought alongside him for years. Just as Hong celebrates the birth of his son, he learns that someone has hired a hitman to take his life. Having weathered many storms, Hong remains calm and watches the turmoil unfold.
