A long time ago, a Zhuang mother named Daboo and her three sons lived by weaving brocade and chopping wood at the foot of the mountains. They led a simple and happy life, filled with hard work and hope every day. One day, Daboo bought a beautiful pastoral painting from the market, and the patterns in the painting were so vibrant that they seemed to come from another world. She decided to weave the patterns from the painting into a piece of Zhuang brocade to decorate their home. Daboo devoted all her heart and strength to this project, working day and night, and finally completed the brocade three years later. When the satin was unfolded, the family was astonished; it was such a beautiful and precious work. However, just as they were about to admire it, a gust of wind suddenly swept through, scattering the satin and making it disappear without a trace. Daboo anxiously called out to her sons, hoping they could help retrieve the lost Zhuang brocade. The two elder sons, obeying their mother’s command, boldly embarked on the perilous journey to find the brocade. They arrived at the mountain pass and met a kind old grandmother, who told them that the brocade was hidden in the distant Sun Mountain Fairy Palace, but they had to traverse a road filled with dangers.
