By chance, the world-weary exile writer Fernando (played by Germán Jaramillo) meets a young man named Alexander (played by Anderson Ballesteros), whose youth and vitality quickly lead Fernando to abandon his suicidal thoughts. However, Alexander comes from the poorest area of Medellín, a paradise for criminals in Colombia, where countless people die every day, unnoticed. Growing up there, Alexander naturally adapts to Medellín's survival rules, which Fernando finds hard to accept. Nevertheless, the two overcome barriers of age and gender to be together. Unfortunately, during a violent incident, Alex is shot multiple times while trying to protect Fernando. Heartbroken, Fernando decides for the first time to solve a problem with violence; he seeks revenge for his lover.
