In this world, there exists a mysterious assassin organization, where the assassins have been injected with a gene that alters their physical structure, making them "Extraordinary." Nick's father (played by Joel Gertner) was once such an assassin. After undergoing genetic modification by the organization, Nick's father became a top assassin. As he aged, he decided to retire from the underworld, but he was hunted down by the organization and was killed in front of young Nick (played by Colin Ford), not meeting a good end. Nick (played by Chris Evans), filled with grief, grew up determined to avenge his father. However, the assassin organization is powerful, and as a mere small player without any extraordinary abilities, how could he possibly fight against such a vast criminal group? Fortunately, Nick is not foolish; he devised a plan to bring together the friends and family of those who had been harmed or assassinated by the organization to form a death squad. Additionally, some genetically modified individuals wishing to leave the organization joined Nick's team. Nick also collaborated with another girl with special abilities, Casey Holloman (played by Dakota Fanning), whose power is the incredible ability to foresee the future. With Casey’s help, they track down the whereabouts of a stolen suitcase, which could potentially bring the entire assassin organization to its knees, thus becoming the key to Nick's revenge. After many twists and turns, they confront members of the organization who come to snatch the suitcase, retrieve it, and discover the organization's latest weapon—a powerful new experimental drug named R16.
