The serious and vigilant Inspector Lee (played by Jackie Chan) and the chatty detective James Carter (played by Chris Tucker), after successfully completing two multinational missions, now face an even more challenging task. The Korean consul, investigating evidence of the "Sanhehui" crime syndicate, is assassinated. Feeling guilty, Officer Lee frantically pursues the killer, but is inadvertently hindered by the demoted traffic officer James Carter. Naturally, their odd duo gets off to a rocky start. On one hand, following the consul's clues, they arrive in Paris—the heart of the "Sanhehui" that is hidden at all costs—overcoming numerous difficulties to uncover the truth; on the other hand, they must protect the consul's daughter, Su Yang (played by Zhang Jingchu), who was raised under his care. However, the killer turns out to be Kenji (played by Hiroyuki Sanada), a good brother from Inspector Lee's childhood in the orphanage. How will the two cope under such crises? In a critical moment, Inspector Lee’s Chinese martial arts will change the tide.
