Finding someone in love means you can no longer be lonely. On Singles' Day in Beijing, Hong Kong girl Li Peiru (played by Shu Qi) encounters police officer Fang Zhendong (played by Liu Ye). Li Peiru, under immense life pressure, hopes to exchange her youth for a life free of worries for her family. Fang Zhendong, abandoned by his wife, lives with his brother Fang Zhencong (played by Tian Liang), who has social interaction barriers. Perhaps it's the attraction of their lonely personalities, or perhaps it's destiny, the two are drawn to each other and grow closer. Peiru's business requires investment, and Zhencong is getting married, so Zhendong sells his ancestral home without hesitation. However, Peiru suddenly goes missing due to business setbacks.
