During the execution, the last member of the Ghost Eight Immortals—Yu Canhua (played by Wang Zuoqian)—attempts a futile rescue but is determined to take revenge on Yuan Detai's family. That night, Er Wu becomes possessed by Zhu Qi's ghost, but Yuan Detai narrowly escapes the ordeal thanks to his quick reflexes.
