The online writer Lan Ting (played by Lin Chi-ling) has a very popular novel, and she has even met a fan who calls himself Pai Gu (played by Eric Tsang) asking for an autograph. However, Lan Ting's relationship with her father is very strained, so her father sends Qiao Fei (played by Jay Chou) to invite her to dinner. Qiao Fei is a young hero fighting against tomb robbery and smuggling, but there are misunderstandings between him and Lan Ting.
