He Lijun, nicknamed "The Blade Leaves No One," participates in the annual arena competition at the Guiwang Mansion, used by the mansion alongside three others. Chen Ruoyu and Tang Qingyun are righteous heroes who discover that after each arena competition at the mansion, a major robbery occurs. The two secretly investigate the mansion at night but fall into the prince's trap. Tang's sword surprises He and the prince, leading He to decide to let the two go. Chen is angry that Tang hides his background, and amidst their entanglement, they realize that He is tracking them, thus forcing her to retreat. He returns to the mansion and inadvertently discovers that the prince is Sun Tianchen, whom she has been pursuing for a long time. Sun wants He to help gather blood debts at Caojia Village. During their investigation of the mansion, Chen and Tang encounter He several times. Feelings gradually develop between Tang and He. He often tells Tang to "spare her life" and confides in him the truth of her findings. However, Chen disapproves of He's actions and tries to block their development.
