Wang Qicong (played by Eason Chan) and Li Yaoting (played by Aaron Kwok) are detectives from the serious crimes unit who do not know each other. Qicong is carefree and unkempt, while Yaoting is quick and self-assured. These two elite officers from different backgrounds come together for a case, with female officer Feng Baobao (played by Cheng Xi Yi) temporarily becoming their superior. This case is triggered by KEN (played by Huang Pin Yuan), who, along with his girlfriend, plans to steal a priceless piece of jewelry, with plans to retire from the underworld afterward. However, things take a turn when they become prey themselves; another group targets them, chasing and capturing KEN while his girlfriend narrowly escapes with the jewels. She then approaches the police with a request: she is willing to trade the necklace for KEN's safe return. The police begin to track down the gang responsible for KEN's kidnapping. Meanwhile, Qicong, Yaoting, and Feng Baobao have differing opinions and constant conflicts. The investigation proves to be extremely challenging.
