During the Long March, the Red Army's vanguard broke away from the strong enemy pursuing them. Led by Commander Zhang (played by Li Jiufang) and Political Commissar Qin (played by Zhou Zhengyu), they arrived at the southern bank of the Wu River, known since ancient times as a "natural fortress."
