This film tells a famous story from World War II. In 1941, the German army assembled its finest troops to launch a powerful offensive on Moscow, known as "Typhoon," aiming to capture the city before winter arrived. The 28 soldiers of the Soviet "Panfilov Infantry Division" halted this ambitious invading force using only one 45mm anti-tank gun, several anti-tank rifles, hand grenades, and Molotov cocktails, at a tremendous cost of only 5 survivors from the entire company, thus defending Moscow.
