This film is adapted from the novel of the same name and tells the story of a boy's sexual awakening. Seventeen-year-old Black boy Randy is the lead singer of his school's choir, growing up in a devoutly religious Southern family. After his sister goes missing, the entire family is in disarray, and Randy must also cope with his sudden homosexual fantasies.
