In the 1940s, Zhao Huaizhong, who made his fortune through drug smuggling and arms trading, holds a wedding for his son, Mengyu. Zhang Wu, a bandit, learns that Zhao will be conducting a drug deal with Commander Hu at the wedding. He goes to the wedding intending to steal and destroy the drugs but finds that the bride is his long-lost love, Xiaomei. Zhang takes Xiaomei away.
