During the Cultural Revolution, a girl named Xiaojun and her family were persecuted, and Xiaojun herself was hanged in her own home, with the murderer staging the scene to look like a suicide... Years later, a film is being intensely shot, and sound engineer Huo Feng (played by Chen Xiguang) is not satisfied with the on-site effects.
