The master of Peach Blossom Fort, Hua Ruling (played by Xia Zhixiang), is about to celebrate his sixtieth birthday with a grand banquet, inviting the five major sect leaders of the martial world and many martial artists to gather at Yuxiu Villa. On the eve of the birthday banquet, Hua Ruling arranges a plan for his son, Hua Manlou (played by Zhang Zhizhao), to rid himself of his psychological torment. Fifteen years ago, Hua Manlou was harmed by the Iron Shoes Thief, resulting in his blindness. Even though Hua Ruling has united the five major sects to eliminate the Iron Shoes Thief, Hua Manlou has suffered from mental torment for over a decade. In an effort to help his son drive away the torment while he is still alive, Hua Ruling invites Lu Xiaofeng (played by Zhang Zhiling) to impersonate the Iron Shoes Thief, allowing Hua Manlou to fulfill his wish of personally eliminating his enemy. This film is adapted from Gu Long's martial arts novel "The Legend of Lu Xiaofeng," but it is not one of the original series stories. "The Legend of Iron Shoes" stays true to the characters and storylines of the original work, while also providing an artistic reorganization and interpretation. It tightly links the story and builds up to thrilling climaxes, showcasing Gu Long's most compelling tale of love and revenge in "The Legend of Lu Xiaofeng: The Legend of Iron Shoes" on screen.
