Akiko Ishiguro (played by Momoe Yamaguchi) is on her way to San Francisco. During her journey, she encounters a man named Tetsuo Tamura (played by Tomokazu Miura). The unfamiliar city and the tumultuous trip bring their hearts close together, igniting a spark of passion between them. Although Tetsuo falls in love with the gentle and beautiful Akiko, he has never considered marrying her, having always lived a free-spirited life. Akiko agrees to return to Tokyo and wait for him, but Tetsuo lacks the courage to meet her as promised. Finally, Akiko sees through Tetsuo's lies and realizes that her feelings have been manipulated. In her sadness and pain, she chooses to marry a company president. During their honeymoon, the newlywed couple returns to San Francisco, where they reunite with Tetsuo.
