In a tropical fish store in Fujimi city, the Shamoto family, consisting of three members, resides. The head of the household, Shinsuke (played by Mitsuaki Fukiue), married the beautiful Miyako shortly after his wife's death, much to the displeasure of his daughter, Mitsuko. This has created a consistently oppressive and heavy atmosphere in the home, with Miyako being extremely careful, fearing she might cause trouble. One evening, Mitsuko is detained by a supermarket for shoplifting, and the Shamoto couple rushes to her aid. They manage to get her released thanks to a kind stranger, Yukio Murata. Murata, who also owns a tropical fish store, sincerely invites the Shamoto family to his shop and offers to hire Mitsuko as an employee. Although the Shamoto couple feels somewhat at a loss, they unwittingly find themselves being led by Murata. Soon after, Murata invites Shinsuke to become his business partner and ends up killing a man who questioned him right in front of Shinsuke. The typically submissive Shinsuke is forced to become an accomplice in Murata's heinous acts of disposing of the body... This film is based on the shocking 1993 Saitama dog lover serial murder case.
