“I don't care whether you completely belong to me... as long as the one I love is always by my side, even if he loves someone else.” In Paris, 1942, two young gay lovers, Jean (Jérémie Renier) and Philippe (Bruno Todeschini), risk their lives to shelter a childhood Jewish friend, Sarah/Yvonne (Louise Monot), whose family has been murdered by the Gestapo. The three of them struggle to survive and form a temporary family in a society devoid of compassion. Jean's disreputable brother Jacques (Nicolas Gob), a Gestapo collaborator, threatens their relationship when he appears. As Jean's sexuality is exposed and he is accused of having an affair with a Nazi, a tragedy slowly unfolds…
