Unshakable Memories - "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" A young offender named Colin lives in a British juvenile detention center after being imprisoned for theft. However, his talent for long-distance running earns him significant attention, and he is awarded a medal. Yet, during the long and solitary training sessions, he often recalls the various misfortunes he faced before his imprisonment. Living in this contradiction, he becomes increasingly dissatisfied with society and exhibits a rebellious attitude. Tony Richardson, a passionate figure in the British "Free Cinema Movement," explores the rebellious psychology of youth through stream of consciousness techniques, making "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" one of the representative masterpieces of the British "Angry Young Men" movement.
