Many years ago, two planets at the other end of the galaxy were swallowed by a black hole, and two alien babies aboard a spaceship came to Earth. Possessing superpowers, they grew up in drastically different environments, shaping their distinct personalities and life paths. As adults, the noble and upright one became the city's superhero, defending peace in the city (voiced by Brad Pitt), while the creepy-looking, blue-headed one turned into the villain who disrupts the people's well-being, named Megamind (voiced by Will Ferrell). They fought endlessly, and wars were constant. On the opening day of the city superhero museum, Megamind successfully escaped from prison and kidnapped the beautiful news anchor Roxanne (voiced by Tina Fey). In the ultimate showdown at the observatory, Megamind defeated his long-time rival and completely ruled the city. However, the good times didn't last long; without a rival, Megamind quickly found life to be dull. Crushed by a moment of inspiration from Roxanne, he decided to create a new hero to restore the happiness of their previous rivalry. But then, everything began to develop in unpredictable directions…
